Hands on learning can sometimes require a lot of “stuff” for students to put their hands on. The North Central STEM-Hub provides educators of all kinds the opportunity to reserve STEM educational kits to use in classrooms, libraries, homeschools, and anywhere there is a need for quality STEM education.
How It Works
The STEM Checkout Library is open to educators located in the North Central STEM Region. Educators interested in checking out materials can view available kits using the free Airtable online inventory.
Educators can use the online request form or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a kit. Kits can be picked up at the NC STEM-Hub in Ames, Iowa, or arrangements can be made for kit delivery. Materials can be kept up to six weeks.
What is Available to Check Out?
The STEM Checkout Library features kits that are easy to transport and come with teacher friendly lesson plans. Kits like “Farmer Grady’s Challenge” and “Great Toy Design Challenge” come with materials for up to 30 students to participate and are aligned with STEM standards.
